Twelvefold Appoints Mark Westlake as Chief Revenue Officer

San Francisco, Calif. (July 29, 2013) – Twelvefold, a digital marketing platform company that helps brands achieve superior results by using content to target, reach and persuade engaged audiences without the use of cookies, has appointed Mark Westlake as Chief Revenue Officer. Mark will be instrumental in promoting Spectrum, a proprietary technology platform that ranks and scores content across the visible web and mobile web, and then places and optimizes ads based on audience mindset.

Westlake has extensive experience in executive management and has helped foster the success of a number of online platform and content companies. Prior to Twelvefold, he played an instrumental role in the growth of TechMediaNetwork, helping to turn it into the largest independent online publisher of science and technology content.  He also served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Content at Howstuffworks.com, the award-winning website purchased by Discovery Communication for $250 million in 2007. There, he oversaw global revenue and content for the company and ensured his staff remained dedicated to forging and maintaining relationships with the company’s many partners and advertisers.

Since 1996, Westlake has held senior sales management positions at a variety of interactive companies. He proved instrumental in launching a number of dynamic start-ups, including Sprinks, Streetmail, Juno, AutoTrader.com, CIMedia, Gamesville, ETOnline, The Sportingnews.com, and Tribune Interactive. Before his online career, Westlake held sales positions at the publishing houses of Hearst, Family Media and Times Mirror.
